Whoop-Up!!!

Whoop Up Days was the best it's ever been. We've lived here for 5 years and we loved it!!! Whoop Up kicks off with a Parade Tuesday morning and the fair opens at Noon. The parade was fun, we met up with some friends and their little girls and watched the parade.

The whole time Juju kept asking where the candy was, not like she needs any.

We decided that we would go to the fair on Friday and do the rides and stuff. It was already such a full day with the parade. So off we went on Friday. We had a Blast! Food, Rides, Petting Zoo,

I think from the pictures you can tell we had fun...Juju was hilarious in this video. I had such a hard time holding the camera straight because I was laughing so hard...the last frame catches her face perfectly.

Clearer Picture!!!

the screaming by the way isn't Juju. She was in so much shock, she could barely breathe. The man running the ride stopped it, she wasn't quite sure if she wanted out. After we got her off the ride she wanted back on. Too funny. We had asked Miss Em if she wanted to go on before the ride started, she said she wanted to watch Juju first. The answer was a big no after she saw Juju.

The girls had fun singing and dancing with the Smudge Fundaes. We where at the park from 1:30-5:30.

Like I said we had sooo much fun!!!

Shawn and I came back later for Date Night...

We caught the tail end of the Rodeo, I went on the swings, we went on the Ferris Wheel together.
It was a perfect night. We had some awesome pizza. Life is Good!

Favorite Things Swap

I've been meaning to blog about my awesome swap partner, but with Mom here, the birthday party and our ward camp out, we've been a tad busy....Well I received an awesome package in the mail. I love getting mail. We have a superbox. It's always so much fun to open our mail and see another key to open the bigger box. Yeah, packages!!! I received fabric, magazines, some pictures and cards of New Mexico and a gorgeous apron my swap partner made! She is so talented! It totally made my day! Enjoy the pics!

Lost Count of our Summer Days...

So it's about time, I posted, instead of blog stalking, which I'm getting good at. I probably shouldn't be calling it blog stalking, maybe peeking...there are just so many awesome blogs, in the blogging world. Enough of that, okay I've lost track. We've been having so much fun. And to top it off, my Mom just got here last Monday and we've been running from one thing to another. I also uploaded my pics, and it's been entertaining to say the least. I love it (sometimes), when the kids get the camera.

This is Juju's Mouth...(I think she was getting ready for the dentist),

and Miss Em's Nose
It's always fun to see what they like to take pics of.

We stayed up late and had Root Beer Floats!

We've gone Raspberry Picking, Jumped on Trampolines and have tried to suck in every last day of summer.

We've tried to get all the back to school stuff done and out of the way before Grandma G arrived.

Doctors appointments,

Dentist appointments,

school supplies,

and my fave with back to school, the clothes shopping, (can you tell it's not JuJu's)

Which I did a bunch online. Emily needed a new back pack and I kept putting off the "checking out" part of the shopping cart at Lands End...so we missed out on the colour she wanted. But I had a tah dah moment. I still had my backpack from high school, which I have to say is still in great shape. I know it's navy blue, but we made it her own and she is really happy with it. So am I, it only cost $1.25 for the Owl Iron on and then I had the rest at home from my scrap pile. She is so totally sold that it is a one of a kind.

We have also been getting ready for Becca's birthday party.

This is our Photo Booth. I know I've gone a little overboard, but I am so excited to do this one. And like I said earlier, there are so many blogs that are awesome you have to check out this one. Awesome party ideas! This summer with the new love of Teletoon Retro, the girls are totally into Super Heroes! So we are planning our Halloween Costumes already. I'm not saying anything yet, but I think you can tell what one of the girls will be from this self portrait.

We also had Whoop Up Days this past week but that needs a special post all of its own.

Summer Day 28, 29

Day 28 - Yesterday we went swimming at the Ramada. We had some good times with the cousins. The girls love it there. I'm glad we went. They have been asking to go forever. I also put the piano together, after Rebecca went to sleep. The other two had to stay up and assist.

Day 29 - With the piano set up they had to test it out as soon as they got up this morning.

I've heard the tinklin' of the ivories all day today, from Darling 1, Darling 2 and Darling 3, Becca stands on her tippy toes, it's so cute. We did some back to school shopping today. And probably the highlight today is staying up late (they are still up), eating Kernels popcorn, rootbeer floats, watching a movie, and sleeping on the floor down in the basement. They are supposed to be sleeping, I wonder when they will finally crash. It's kind of hard when I have the finale "So You Think You Can Dance" on. They are dancing everywhere! Good times!

Summer Day 26, 27

Day 26 - Sunday night my Nephew Kaden slept over. The girls loved it. So Monday morning they slept in! That's right Slept in!!! Till 8:30am. It was very exciting. I know for most people that's not sleeping in, but for me it totally is. So we chilled in PJ's for a bit, and then it was "Rain, Rain, Rain, Please Go Away" It was so on and off yesterday. We got a sunny break for a little while, so bouncy house and time outside.

Day 27 - Today we had chocolate chip pancakes!

And of course we needed to decorate them with chocolate chips, and have Hot Chocolate! Yum and then Juju showed me her bollywoodness, here she is getting down to Jai Ho, Pussycat dolls! Great role models I know! (Sarcasm, if you didn't catch that)

After breakfast we went to Costco and picked up a piano. You should have seen how the kids and I loaded it into the Van! If you were a spectator you would have been entertained. I do have to say, the kids are super strong.

Here they are showing their muscles!

We dropped the piano off at home and then headed to Services Canada to drop off JuJu's passport stuff. They said the wait would be 30min, we were there an hour 15. The kids were so well behaved. We played I spy, musical chairs, Juju asked random people for Tic Tacs, and made quite the impression on them. She's too cute. They all are. Kay Mom this one is for you, well, Nanny, it's another video of Juju saying her full name.

Priceless.
We did make it though to the movie Up with the cousins. It's Ryder's B-day today.
It was fun to see them all sitting in the back row together.
Cute bunch of kids.

We went back to Mom and Dad's for Ice Cream Cake and Present time!

Happy B-day Ryder!!! It's really neat having the cousins together.

Summer Day 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25...

I have realized it's easier to do this whole summer thing each day, instead of letting them pile up.
So I'll try to do better going forward.

Day 19 - That afternoon I was taking some newborn pics so the girls were outside playing. I was so grateful that Spencer came over to play with them and help out. She is awesome. So I was pretty spent that day but the kids had a blast in the sprinkler, bouncer and on their bikes. We are still working with Emily riding her 2 wheeler.

Day 20 - That morning we did some yard work. The girls pulled weeds and I mowed the lawn. When I was a little girl my Nanny would have us pull weeds to help our Mom with the garden. For every weed we pulled we got a penny, if we were able to go the root out we got a nickel. After we were done pulling, we would sit on the front steps and count out the weeds. Good memories. Well I made the same deal with the girls. Emily was full speed ahead. Julia, so so. At the end Emily had pulled 99 weeds, 50 no root, 49 root. Not bad. I was really proud of her. And Julia came in with a whopping 9 weeds, no root. It was really cute. I counted out the nickels and pennies, and they were thrilled.

Saturday - Geocaching, previous post

Day 21 - Later in the week we were having a Ward Pioneer Picnic. So we had to get the wagon ready. Our good friends brought over their wagon for us to borrow. So we decorated it and had a blast. That night for FHE we had a lesson on the pioneers.

Day 22 - With the upcoming picnic we needed to finish our costumes. Here is Rebecca's. It only cost me 50cents to make. I had some scrap fabric from some pillows and the brim on her bonnet was originally on her jumper that I picked up at the thrift store.
Day 23- Finally the Pioneer Picnic and Parade. I finished the girls bonnets that morning. I made them reversible. I think they turned out really cute. Emily got her costume on as soon as she got up that morning. The ward/primary activity worked out really well. We had our picnic, strawberry shortcake for dessert, and Brother Wright told a story. Then the primary had their parade and the kids played games.

Here is a video of Julia in the Potato Sack Races.

And one of Emily.

Day 24- The girls were invited to a tea party. It was Miss I's B-day. So they got all fancied up. They did such a great job on their manners. Amie did such a great job. They had a blast.

Day 25 - Shawn left for Vegas. Convention. He took the girls out for lunch before he left.

Saturday - We stuck around the house. The girls cleaned their room. We played in the sprinkler and had fudgesicles. I have never seen Emily get so messy and enjoy it!

We did some crafting for Rebecca's birthday party. Made a trip to the dollar store. And probably the highlight was having their Cousin Kaden over. They played outside. Lots of bike time. We are enjoying the nice weather.

Sunday - We all woke up this morning with sore throats and running noses. Rebecca hadn't been feeling well since Thursday, so I guess it's going through the house. So we are enjoying Teletoon Retro and lots of Fruit and Liquids. We're resting up.
